I’m Carol, interior designer turned marketing & business lover
I’ve worked on residential and multi-family residential projects in Canada in Toronto and Vancouver for the last 20 years.
I recently found my passion had shifted within my own business from the design work to managing the business. I have now redirected my focus to assisting other Interior Designers to manage the background of their business while they grow their portfolio and their client base.
It started with a seedling of a dream
For as long as I can remember I dreamed of being an interior designer and creating beautiful spaces. It started as a little girl with my scissors, glue and a Sears catalogue. I would snip the pics and create the perfect spaces for my future self.
And when that finally happened and I started my first interior design business I was hit by the reality of the situation.
There is a lot more to running An interior design business than just creating beautiful spaces.
This led me on a journey to perfect my systems and streamline the way I managed my projects. I didn’t want to duplicate efforts with every new client.
I created email templates for quick response times to client inquiries. I researched and learned which online tools would help me organize client documentation and through trial and error I learned how to connect via social media and email marketing. These systems and tools started to make a difference in how I managed the “business” of my business.
